We are a shop run by collectors, for collectors — and we know better than anyone that trust is everything in this hobby. One bad experience can ruin it. So we’ve built every policy around making sure that doesn’t happen.

Here is exactly what you can count on when you shop with us.

Authenticity — Guaranteed for Life

Every single item sold by Hobby Box is guaranteed authentic, period. This applies to sealed products, raw singles, graded cards, comics, toys, and memorabilia. If any item you purchase from us is ever determined to be counterfeit, tampered with, or materially misrepresented, we will refund your purchase in full — no time limit, no restocking fee, return shipping on us. No questions asked.

How do we back this up? We source sealed product exclusively through legitimate, authorized distribution channels. Raw singles and trade-ins that enter our inventory are inspected by our staff before going on sale — people who handle cards every day and know how to spot fakes, resealed packs, weight-mapped boxes, and altered cards. For high-value singles, we rely on PSA, Beckett, and CAS certification, and every graded card’s certification number can be independently verified on the grading company’s website.

We do not sell resealed product. We do not sell counterfeits. We never have and never will. Our reputation in the Brooklyn collecting community is built on this.

Condition — What You See Is What You Get

We describe every item we sell as accurately as we can. For graded cards, the grade is the grade — verified and sealed by the grading company. For raw singles, we describe condition honestly and photograph items accurately. If you receive a raw card that is materially different in condition from how it was described, contact us and we will make it right.

For sealed products, we guarantee the item is factory sealed, untampered, and in the condition shown. We check every unit before it goes out the door.

Delivery — Your Order Arrives or We Fix It

We pack every order as if it were our own collection. Cards are sleeved and top-loaded or card-saver’d. High-value items are bubble-wrapped and boxed. We are not a fulfillment warehouse — we are a specialty shop, and packing is done with care every single time.

If your order is lost in transit, arrives damaged, or contains the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including return shipping. We will open a carrier claim on our end so you don’t have to deal with it.

Pricing — Fair and Transparent

The price you see is the price you pay. No hidden fees at checkout beyond applicable sales tax. No surprise charges after the fact. If a pricing error occurs on our site and affects your order, we will contact you before shipping and give you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will never ship an order and then charge you more.

Returns — Hassle-Free

You have 30 days from delivery to return any eligible item, no questions asked. Returns by mail come with a free prepaid shipping label — you don’t pay a cent. Buy, Sell & Trade — Honest Evaluations

When you bring items to us to sell or trade, you’ll get an honest, fair evaluation based on real market data — not a lowball offer. We’ll explain our reasoning. You are never under any obligation to accept. We want you to leave satisfied whether you buy from us, sell to us, or just stop in to talk cards.

Grading — Straight Advice

If you ask us whether a card is worth grading, we’ll tell you the truth — even if the answer is no. We would rather you trust us than make a submission that doesn’t make financial sense for you. Our job is to serve collectors well, not to maximize submission volume.
